The Origin of the Hatchet Wielding Girl

It was a stormy day in the old ruins of Fiesole near Florence, Italy when I, a lone art student from the United States, found the handle of an awesome old hatchet sticking out from the ground. I went to grasp the handle of the weapon (because seriously, this would be cool to take home!) and pulled it from the earth at the same time a clash of lightning and thunder sounded. Rain poured from the sky and began to drench my clothing. I looked up, cursing the gods. I think Zeus was deeply offended, thus is why he threw a lightning bolt into my eye.

I fell to the ground as smoke rose off of my heated body like freshly baked cookies.

When I awoke, there was the prettiest man I had ever seen before me. His *cough* HER name was Rococo and she was a fabulous drag queen/seer/psychic who had been walking her cat in the ruins when she witnessed the whole event. She gave me a panini and some Italian Orange soda (because she knew that was my favorite) and told me that the hatchet I had pulled from the ground posessed great powers.

It took a while for me to realize that my left eye was completely off. I've always had bad vision in that eye, but jeez! I was seeing  Rococo glowing a pleasant pink shade and her cat, which was on the counter eating her soup, a sinister red glow. Rococo explained to me with her Adam;s apple lulling up and down that my left eye was gifted with the ability to tell good from evil by the use of colors, much like a mood ring. It gave a new meaning to the Beach Boys' song "Good Vibrations".

I learned a lot from Rococo during my last few weeks in Italy. I was able to repair and clean up the hatchet (for some hefty euros!), as well as learn how to put on cool eye make up. Rococo helped me to make a crime fighting outfit with some of her left over spandex and as I was ready to board my plane, she gave me an eye patch to wear whenever I didn't want to use my power. We hugged, we cried, and I sadly left Rococo with the promise of returning to see her in person. Luckily, she has skype!

Coming back to California with a new outfit and super moves only a ninja drag Queen could teach me, I made a resolution to help stop social injustice and inequality in the Central Valley! =)

I am NeuroHatchet, KACHAAAAAAAAH!

  2. What program did you create your hero. It has a lot of movement to the line and is very crisp.

  3. @ Mr. Freckles: Why hello Mr. Freckles! ....You know, it's really not that difficult to recycle your soup cans. *eyes you* But yes, it was hard to bring back a weapon from Italy. But customs don't care if you're an average looking female. The blue hair was difficult, I will say, but hats are handy.

@ nideit: I used one of the programs Jessica offered to help us with the avatar (not the Marvel one, the other one). I put it in Photoshop and tweaked it then to my liking. =)

  5. Hey there Neurohatchet. It sounds like you had quite the trip in Italy. I'd love to meet this Rococo lady and have her teach me some moves. You have an awesome power too. I'd love to know who was good or evil on sight, literally. Looking forward to seeing how your power helps us make a difference.
